Description

Desogestrel is a progestogen-only contraceptive medication also known as the mini pill . It contains the progestogen desogestrel, that works in a very similar way to progesterone. Its contraceptive effect is mainly due to the prevention of ovulation and increased viscosity of the cervical mucous. It is well suited for patients that are not able to take oestrogen.
